Bella Bride: Monica & David

A beautiful spring wedding filled with vibrant color, southern charm and festive details was created for Monica & David this past May. The couple, both UT Texas graduates, met after graduating through their involvement with the Dallas TX Exes Dallas Chapter and selected Highland Park United Methodist Sanctuary and Arlington Hall for the big day.

The lovely bride chose bright and sunny yellow tones for a cheerful and refreshing accent to their daytime wedding.

The bride carried a ruffled gathering of all bright yellow parrot tulips and wrapped the bouquet stems with ribbon from the flowers David gave her the night of their engagement. How sweet! A pretty handkerchief was then attached to nestle the pretty bouquet.

Monica wore these cute hot pink Kate Spade heels for an added stylish touch.

In keeping with the Southern daytime wedding theme, the bridesmaids wore gowns made of lightweight sear sucker banded with a lemon toned sash. They carried mini bouquets of tulips, freesia and ranunculus. Too sweet!

Love this shot right before the ceremony.

The reception tables were adorned with mini mercury glass vessels filled with charming groupings of sunny yellow and ivory flora. The selection included soft textured hydrangea, wonderfully sweet garden roses, tulips, baby roses and pristine phalaenopsis blooms.

Maypoles, croquet games and horseshoe tossing all were provided to entertain guests on the beautiful green lawn of Lee Park. Such fun!

Frosted Art created this gorgeous cake made of orange blossom, lemon lavender and mojito flavors. Real ribbons in vibrant yellows and oranges adorned the delicious creation.

The groom's cake was made of chocolate and peanut butter with a little UT Love.

Monica and her mom made these sweet and spicy pickles for guest favors. Such a fun and personal touch.

The newlywed couple made their grand exit in a 1959 El Dorado Cadillac! Truly Southern Swank!

We loved this wedding and all the thoughtful touches Monica & David added and were so happy to have been a part of their wedding day! We wish them the very best!
