A Wuf Wedding to Benefit Paws in the City

Bella Flora of Dallas is proud to be coordinating and producing a Wuf Wedding benefitting Paws in the City at Lee Park.

The second annual “A Wüf Wedding” is a dog wedding that celebrates “puppy love” and offers dog owners a unique opportunity to bond with their canine companion. Dogs will have the opportunity to join in holy muttrimony with other dogs and exchange biscuits as a sign of their affection. The event will be complete with an officiating Minister of Muttrimony, a ceremony, a walk down the aisle, a reception, DJ, and wedding cake for all.

Both private and group ceremonies will take place. The event is scheduled for Thursday, May 20, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Lee Park.

All proceeds from “A Wüf Wedding” canine nuptials will benefit to Paws in the City (http://www.pawsinthecity.com/), a local animal rescue group and Lee Park.

Bella Flora of Dallas will be coordinating and providing event design and production for this event. (http://www.bellafloraofdallas.com/).

All vaccinated, well-socialized dogs are welcome to attend with their owners.

“Wüf is always looking for extraordinary events to help dogs and their owners spend time together,” Jennifer Bassman, owner of Wüf, said. “We are especially honored to be working with Paws in the City this year. Their contribution to the pet community is incredible.”

Vendors will be on hand to sell dog-related wedding merchandise with a portion of those proceeds also benefitting Paws. Area businesses will have spots in the reception to showcase their business and organization.

Paws in the City will also be on hand with pets in need of a home. Wüf currently fosters some of the dogs up for adoption through their program. Paws in the City relies on volunteers and donations to care for and maintain more than 70 pets up for adoption. All funds generated for Paws in the City goes directly to care for the pets.
