Wedding Shows are in the air!

Greetings everyone,

With the spring wedding season quickly approaching, we're thrilled to be able to be a part of two wedding shows before we're in full wedding season swing.

The first is an open house at The Belo Mansion & Pavilion on March 27th where brides may come and view the space as well as the work of some of the best wedding vendors in Dallas. The Belo Mansion is located at 2101 Ross Ave in downtown Dallas and will begin at 11:00 a.m and end at 2:00 p.m.

The next show is in Frisco also on March 27th at The Stone Briar Country Club where brides may also walk the space both for indoor and outdoor events. Stone Briar Country Club is located at 5050 Country Club Dr in Frisco, TX and the show will run from 11:00 a.m. t0 2:00 p.m.

Spring 2010 Trends!

In the coming year the trends are going to bold, bright, and full of color. In regards to color 2010 is going to stray away from the traditional pastels. Bright oranges, yellows, and turquoise will be the primary colors for spring of 2010. These colors will be accompanied by jewel tones as well this season.

The combination of yellow and turquoise is a beautiful and playful addition to a spring wedding.

Bright orange and peach tones can add contrast to a bride’s simple cream or ivory gown.

In addition to all the bold and bright colors of the season, many people will opt to remain contemporary with a mixture of black, red and white. These colors will be used a different way for spring of 2010 such as black floral or black and red accents to a simple wedding gown.

The dress trends for spring 2010 are bigger and better than ever! Designers are creating dresses for the spring revolving around flowers, metallic fabrics, beading, lace, ruffled tiers, asymmetrical necklines, feathers, touches of black, color, and last but not least mini dresses.

All over lace is a huge trend for wedding dresses in the spring. It’s incredibly romantic and can be worn for a day or night wedding.

Ruffled tiers are a great way to add texture and movement to a wedding gown.

And when it comes to asymmetrical necklines, one shoulder wedding gowns are everywhere on the bridal runways and are giving strapless gowns a run for their money!

Going back to the basics is going to be a huge trend this coming spring. Events will focus on the attention to detail this season not the drama of the evening. Home weddings will be seen a lot in the spring 2010. Home weddings can be intimate with smaller guest lists and elegant, sophisticated details.

Buttercream on the big day will replace fondant this season. Tools and techniques now allow buttercream to look as smooth as fondant.

Bella Bride Trend- Jazz It Up With Color!

Over the past year, we have seen many Bella Brides jazzing up their wedding day accessories with colorful heels. This addition of color gives the bride the opportunity to express some personality and fun into their wedding day attire and has become more and more popular. Many are complimenting their shoe color to the colors of their wedding. You'll also see it on the runways as well. This trend came to the forefront after Sarah Jessica Parker wore blue Manolo Blahnik pumps during her wedding day bliss in “Sex and the City: The Movie.”

Lace is back!

Everyone used to go for simple elegance with clean lines, but the tradition and romance of lace is making its way back. We can see it on gowns, invitations, and even cakes! Whether you go for an all-lace gown or put lace simply on the bodice or as trimmings, the sophistication of it all will be sure to make you feel like royalty. It has a unique texture, which is another growing trend, and also hides bumps and lumps that silk satin normally wouldn't. But the best thing about lace is that it's adaptable to both a traditional and modern feel - so it doesn't look like your mother's wedding dress.
