Bella Bunny: Ava's Birthday Party

Greetings everyone!

With weddings for 2010 in steady flow and 2011 weddings gearing up, it was so fun to design a precious birthday party for 6 year old Ava.  Designed by Bella Flora owner, Lucy Diaz - Flores, the party was laden with pinks, fun greens, bunnies, garden roses and the most darling mini Chivaris with tu-tu chair sashes!

An assortment of moss bunnies, squirrels and a dapper turtle were adorned with pretty pink baby roses and fun ribbons as a whimsical entry piece.

Playful ribbon streamers in candy pink and chartreuse green were suspended over the birthday table along with festive balloon shapes creating such an awesome focal point in the room.

We custom designed there adorable chair covers; perfect for our little princesses!

The long table was adorned with mini arrangements of garden roses, hydrangeas and baby roses accented with cute bunny tags.  Cookie place cards were then provided for each little one to enjoy!

The birthday cake was "bunnylicious" and so fitting of the playful fete!
Cuteness Overload!  Happy Belated Birthday AvA!

Bella Bride: Laurie Shelton & Scott Davenport

A gorgeous spring wedding was created for the lovely Laurie Shelton and dapper Scott Davenport with a day filled with berry, fuchsia, violet and chartreuse tones mixed with exquisite linens, dramatic lighting and of course lots of love from their wonderful famlies.  The wedding was coordinated by the ever so wonderful Emily Youngblood of Blessed Unions and the images are courtesy of the always "spot-on" team at Joseph Mark Photography.

Laurie's bridesmaids wore these super cute dresses with an asymmetric ruffled detail and carried charming bouquets of hydrangeas, peonies, Vanda orchids and cymbidium orchids.  So yum!

The entry to Perkins Chapel was adorned with fresh boxwood garlands accented with colorful bouquets and flowing ribbons while custom floral letters embellished the entry doors.

The colors of the ceremony floral were kept slightly subdued so we could really amp up the tones at the reception.

Such a beautiful couple! And her bouquet designed with hydrangeas, peonies, roses, sweet peas and crystal studded stephanotis wasn't half bad either!

Cool blue paths of light to the reception.

Awesome guest book set up with such a lively palette of fuchsias, violets, berry and splashes of chartreuse.  The rest of the reception was equally as vibrant with centerpieces ranging from tall, medium and low and a stellar head table set up for 34 people!

Let's Dance!

...and celebrate!

Gorge bridal cake, Bevo and sweet treats!

Love these next few shots! You can totally feel the love!

What a wonderful night!  Thanks again Laurie and Scott for allowing us to be a part of this memorable day!

Touching Wedding Video provided by Watson Videography

Greetings all! Summer weddings have been rocking for Bella Flora and we are just wrapping up June. Meanwhile, I wanted to share this pretty cool wedding video of one of our April Weddings. Dana and Ricky were married April 17th and we had such a great time working with such kind people with a flair for thinking "outside the box". The video really captured some amazing moments that night and I just had to share! More details coming soon!

Bella Bride : Casey Priest & Dr. Steven Shilling

Busy professionals Casey Priest & Dr. Steven Shilling met through the dating service "It's Just Lunch". They were married this past September at The Stone Leigh Hotel with a day filled with bold and vibrant tones, modern styling and so many special moments between their two little boys & girls.

Casey wore an ivory strapless creation by Marisa and carried a fuchsia pomander ball suspended with rhinestone straps so she could walk hand in hand down the aisle with her little ones in tow.

The altar area was decked with cascades of white phalaenopsis orchids and fluttery fuchsia garlands of calypso orchids. A romantic display of candlelight enclosed within glass cylinders were then tucked within the design to add to the soft and ambient lighting.

Violet and fuchsia permutations decked the rest of The Stone Leigh along with swank and modern ivory creations.

In lieu of a wedding cake, the couple served playful "bitsy" sticks at the end of the night.

Wallflowers were not the case on this dance floor!

We had such a great time working with Casey and her family and wish them all the best! Stories like hers are what really makes our job such fun and worthwhile.

Spring 2010 Trends!

In the coming year the trends are going to bold, bright, and full of color. In regards to color 2010 is going to stray away from the traditional pastels. Bright oranges, yellows, and turquoise will be the primary colors for spring of 2010. These colors will be accompanied by jewel tones as well this season.

The combination of yellow and turquoise is a beautiful and playful addition to a spring wedding.

Bright orange and peach tones can add contrast to a bride’s simple cream or ivory gown.

In addition to all the bold and bright colors of the season, many people will opt to remain contemporary with a mixture of black, red and white. These colors will be used a different way for spring of 2010 such as black floral or black and red accents to a simple wedding gown.

The dress trends for spring 2010 are bigger and better than ever! Designers are creating dresses for the spring revolving around flowers, metallic fabrics, beading, lace, ruffled tiers, asymmetrical necklines, feathers, touches of black, color, and last but not least mini dresses.

All over lace is a huge trend for wedding dresses in the spring. It’s incredibly romantic and can be worn for a day or night wedding.

Ruffled tiers are a great way to add texture and movement to a wedding gown.

And when it comes to asymmetrical necklines, one shoulder wedding gowns are everywhere on the bridal runways and are giving strapless gowns a run for their money!

Going back to the basics is going to be a huge trend this coming spring. Events will focus on the attention to detail this season not the drama of the evening. Home weddings will be seen a lot in the spring 2010. Home weddings can be intimate with smaller guest lists and elegant, sophisticated details.

Buttercream on the big day will replace fondant this season. Tools and techniques now allow buttercream to look as smooth as fondant.

Spring 2010 is going to be a fun season for planning with all the bold and bright trends! So have fun and enjoy the planning!

Happy Planning!
